Hi from DC

Well my phone won't let me post to this blog, so that's why I haven't updated at all. I got here on Wednesday and am staying until Tuesday morning. It was so nice to finally meet my little nephew. And by little, he's 2 months old and 7.5lbs, I mean little. The size Jacob was at birth. But Alex can smile, and try to grab at things, and rolled over from tummy to back today (he was on an incline in his crib, so it was kind of cheating). He is so cute, and he loves to sleep on my chest curled up in the mobi (sp?) wrap.

William is as rambunctious as a 3 yr old new big brother can expect to be. The downside is my sister and her family live in an apartment on the 9th floor. So other than playing in the "corridor" (what William calls it) with a ball, there isn't much energy expending unless we take him for a long walk. Or make him walk up 10 flights of stairs from the basement laundry room....

I really miss my Clarabear and Jake buddy. Clara is pretty upset that I'm gone, but she got to spend alot of time with her auntie Cara, so that's good. Tho Cara did let her watch Mean Girls...I'm sure she now has it set in her heart to be a queen bee....great. Jacob has some sort of cold or cough, and when I was talking to Tom on the phone it sounded like croup to me. Do 6 yr olds get croup? He set him up in the bathroom all steamy and his DS to play, and since then he's been doing alright.

So far today I've been excessively lazy. It's 3pm and I'm still in jammies. But so is everyone else. They are all napping...I'm gonna pick up the trail hurricane William made and try to make it not so cluttered. Kind of hard considering I'm sleeping on the couch, so all of my stuff is all over, but I'll try.

I'm bummed that I won't be getting to see Kim. I was hoping we'd figure a way to meet up, but with life getting in the way, its not happening this trip. But I'll always be back :0) and next trip I HAVE to bring the kids. I promised them ;-)

Well off to be semi productive, I'll catch up on blogs and 365's more throughly when I get home.
