Don't make major changes when you are in the dumps

I'm still a little bit in the downy dumps. Well not right this minute as I've finally ceased coughing due to a shot of nyquil with a chaser of liquid codine. I'm tired and loopy.

But as far as the changes go, I have to keep telling myself not to pursue another job option, only because I'm blah blah. I know part of not liking my current job is because I'm just sad in general, and the people I work with aren't my friends. They are just people I work with. While at my old job, I considered them my friends. People I could talk to, and cared about and cared for me. It's hard.

It looks like I might be getting the same job offer I got back over the summer. The whole stay put with my regular schedule or switch to my old job which would only guaruntee part time, but I could pick up enough hours to make do. I am really temped to take it, but the only problem would be baby sitting.

We'd need to find a responsible driver who could pick the kids up and watch them for the hour or so between when their aftercare programs let out and Tom would be home. It wouldn't be on a regular basis tho, and that's the part that would be hard. Plus the odd week or day of graveyard I'd have to work. Then we'd need someone who could just come hang out at our house from 530 when Tom leaves until 730am when I'd be home.

I dunno.

Just wishful thinking I guess. I'm going to bed though, I can barely keep my eyes open (yay!) and I hear Clara fussing.

Daycare, babysitting, whatever you want to call it. It makes it so much harder. We should have be able to have some flexibility when it comes to schedules. I know it is frustrating!

The title of your post is some dang good advice. I can't tell you how many times I've almost jumped the gun while job searching because I'm depressed. Once, I almost quit for a part time position at CVS. As if I could live off that kind of income. Pfft. *Sigh* A girl can dream.
