Little update

I'm copying this from the boards, because I just realized it's 1050, and I gotta leave at 1115. And I haven't showered yet. Oopps....

Well the Dr thinks that if Gina starts chemo, and responds to it, then she has a few years ahead of her. If she doesn't have chemo, then the cancer will quickly over take her.

As of an hour ago, she was refusing chemo. My dad thinks between my mom and Gina's husband, they can talk her in to it. He was pretty sure she'd being starting the chemo tonight.

So it is good news, but it sounds like Gina is really depressed. That's not going to help things move, or get her healed.

My name is Sara. I was looking through some blogs and yours caught my eye. I know I don't know you or anything, and I'm not trying to be weird or anything, but I hope everything goes well with Gina. My best is with you.

I hope she agrees to the treatment. P&PT's for all.

I know this might now make you feel better, Mary, but I prayed for your sister last night while I was flying from SF to NC to visit my sister. Not, "said a prayer," but actually prayed for her.

I have not stopped thinking about her (and you) either. I feel so selfish because I was feeling sorry for myself that my sister had to move, and here you are not knowing if your sister will be healed.

God bless you.

Sara-that's not odd at all. I think everyone enjoys blog surfing, and it means alot to me that you took the time to comment. I've reminded Gina a number of times that there are lots of people praying for her and thinking happy thoughts.

Thanks again Susan, it's good to know I have so many friends right now. Even if I don't get to *see* you, just knowing helps so much.

Chelle--Thank you so much for praying for Gina. I totally know the differnce between saying a prayer, and actually praying. Please don't feel selfish. Your sister is important to you, and you miss her. With my sister she lives far away, and what has happened is just what life throws at us. You deal with it. Maybe you deal with it by crying and listening to sad music, but whatever :)

It must be so hard being so far away and not being able to "help" her decide what to do. Loving someone is so hard. I am sure she will end up making the right decision. Try and be strong. My prayers are still with you and your family!
