I can't believe he just said that

Tuesday I stayed after class, and told Tom I thought I'd be leaving in 30 or 45 mins. Turned out I didn't leave for almost 1.5 hours. We weren't in an area with a clock, and when I'm pulling my hair out trying to solve fucking equations, time just flies by. By the time I actually got home Tom was really really pissed off.

Today I again stayed after, but I told him earlier that he would need to pick the kids up from daycare. I talked to him at about 5:15 (my lab finishes at 4:30) and said I'd probably be here for atleast a little longer. I ended up leaving right at 6, but traffic was shitty, and didn't get home until 6:50. I called him at 6:15 and told him I was on my way. Again he was PISSED when I got home, saying I would be thru the roof if the roles were reversed. I disagree if he was at work because he needed to get a project done ect.

I kept reiterating the fact that I didn't give a specific time because I didn't know how long I was going to be, and I called him to tell him I was on my way. He says he's so upset because I did it to him again. Even though the situation was different.

FINALLY he said "I'm just mad because I had to cook the kids dinner (corndogs by the way) and be solely responsible for it" WTF. Are you serious?!?! Sigh. Now he's a stupid fuckhead, just like his parents, Kath ;)

Would it be bad for me to request to have my clinical at a site that requires me to relocate to it?!?!?! Alone??? hehehe. I couldn't imagine being away from my 2 monkeys for 5 days at a time, but I think it might do Tom some fucking good to take some responsibility. Though I know the kids would just be watching massive amounts of TV and eating shit all the time.

But a girl can dream about peace and solitude, right?!?!

I would have had to restrain myself from going postal on him...being solely responsible for a dinner of CORNDOGS? Puhleeze.

Ugh, sounds just like my husband! When I needed a break from my little one I'd have him stay home while I went somewhere; shopping, grocery store, anything. He'd get so mad when I'd come home hours later because HE had to care for our kid, HE had to make him food, and HE had to get off his lazy computer playin' butt when my son needed something. Um, excuse me? I do it every damn day! Hello??? MEN!
