Stupid people.

We had to make a quick trip to Fred Meyer's, our one-stop-shopping center (gag), to get pull-ups for little miss, since shes going thru them like they are kleenex. The second she pees, she takes it off, and demands a new one. She refuses to use the toilet. WTF am I supposed to do? Wait that's a whole nother topic. Back to freddy's. They have those cool carts that have a car in the back with room for 2 kids to sit, and then the regular cart attached. I had Jake and Clara, plus Nate again today with me, and I could have REALLY REALLY REALLY used one of those carts. But there were none to be had. Which is kind of annoying since it was 10am on a Friday and 95% of the shoppers present were 80 year olds, and they have 6 or 8 carts with cars. So I grab a regular car and strap Nate in to the one seat, plop Clara in to the basket part, and make Jake hop on to the end, where he likes to ride anyways.

While we were shopping I had to keep threatening Clara because she wanted out, kept standing up ect. While we are shopping we see FOUR of previously discussed car carts with only 1 child in them, practically babies in 2 of those 4-like 1 year oldish, didn't look like they could walk. In other words the doesn't give a shit age. Also see an additional 1 with a 4ish year old in it plus 10-12 year old in it. Give me a break. It's for little kids. I also saw another 1 that had 2 kids plus 2 more walking, so no trouble to the blue cart ;) I know kids like to ride in the carts, and when a couple of them grabbed the carts for their ONE child, there were probably multiple carts stacked up, but give me a break. I think once have I gotten the car for only Jacob, and that was at 1030 at night, and the other 7 carts were in a row.

So what could have been a fine trip turned in to a hellish trip because people are selfish and think only of their own kids. I got glared at multiple times for grabbing Clara before she climbed out and making her cry. She just wanted to sit by me, not in the basket.

Okay vent over. I have more important things to worry about, namingly the grease stain on Clara's white and red poppy dress. I'm going to cry if I can't get it out. Damn Tacohell.

LOL! I grab one of those car carts all the time when I just have Hannah. The second we park in the parking lot, she starts saying, "I ride the car! I ride the car!" If we walk in and there's one available, damn straight I'm taking it and avoiding the tantrum if I decide otherwise. Sorry Mary, I would've been annoyed too when I was in your situation, but I'm certainly not going to take one just because another person with more than one kid might come in in the meantime. ;)

I guess part of it is I never shop with just Clara, and the maybe I'd be in your shoes too. And for the record, NONE of the kids alone in the car carts were old enough to care. Mommy cared. I actually hate pushing those damn things since they are so long and I ALWAYS hit shit with them. Luckily I've never hit any people, only the aisles if god forbid I try to turn around ;)
